Getting started
Order to activation, in four steps
Pick a plan, agree to the terms, pay the initial fee (setup + first month) in one payment. Your card is saved securely with Stripe.
We place your license with exocad; your USB dongle ships in about a week with tracking.
Our team schedules a guided remote install, sets up DentalCAD and verifies your my.exocad account.
Your first month starts the day your license goes live — not the day you ordered. Monthly billing begins from month 2, charged 5–10 days in advance.

Subscription terms & refund policy
- One initial payment. Setup + first month + a one-month license reserve are collected together at checkout. The monthly fee begins from your second month after activation.
- License reserve. Because exocad monthly licenses have no grace period, your initial payment includes one extra month held as a reserve. If a renewal payment fails, the reserve covers that month while you update your card — your license stays alive. On a clean cancellation, the reserve is applied as your final month. As a thank-you, every new subscription includes the MOD Pro subscriber benefit described above.
- Activation day = billing day 1. Your subscription clock starts when Dentcore activates your license — time waiting for the dongle is never billed.
- Billed in advance. Renewals are charged automatically 5–10 days before each renewal date.
- Failed payment. If a renewal fails, your reserve month covers you while you update payment. If it still isn't resolved before the reserve runs out, the license is deactivated (opted out with exocad) — and per exocad's rules, coming back afterwards requires a new license and a new setup fee.
- Cancelled = final. Cancel monthly anytime — but per exocad's rules there is no grace period and no reactivation. Subscribing again means a new license and a new initial fee.
- US license only. Use outside the United States — including via VPN, proxy or remote desktop — is prohibited and leads to deactivation by exocad without notice or refund.
- Activation requirements. An exocad USB dongle and a US-registered my.exocad account are required — Dentcore prepares both for you during onboarding. Per-seat: one user, one computer. Online activation with continuous validation.
Refunds
• Cancel before your dongle ships: full refund of the initial fee.
• Cancel after shipping, before activation: refund minus the one-time setup fee (exocad's setup cost is already incurred).
• After activation: monthly charges are non-refundable for the period already billed; cancel to stop future renewals.

Common questions
Why is there an initial fee?
It covers your first month plus the one-time setup exocad performs for every new monthly license — dongle preparation, shipping and certification — and it keeps the monthly rate flat instead of inflated.
When exactly does billing start?
Your first month is included in the initial fee and begins on activation day — the day our team installs and exocad turns your license on. Month 2 is charged automatically 5–10 days before it starts.
What is the license reserve month?
exocad's monthly licenses have no grace period — a lapsed license dies and cannot be reactivated. So your initial payment includes one extra month held as a reserve: if your card ever expires or a charge fails, the reserve covers that month while you update payment, and your license never lapses. Cancel cleanly and the reserve is simply your final month. Every new subscription also receives the MOD Pro subscriber benefit described above.
Do subscriptions include exocad AI credits?
Yes — every DentalCAD monthly subscription includes 30 exocad AI credits per month for exocad's AI services (AI crown design and more). Need extra credits? See our exocad AI Credits page.
Do I own the software?
The monthly subscription is a rental license — low cost, always current. Prefer to own it outright? We also sell Perpetual and annual Flex licenses; see the comparison above or call us.
Do I need a dongle and a my.exocad account?
Yes — and you don't have to lift a finger for either. The dongle is prepared and shipped as part of your setup, and our team creates and verifies the my.exocad account with you during installation.
Can I cancel?
Yes, monthly. One important exocad rule: a cancelled monthly license cannot be reactivated — re-subscribing means a new license and initial fee. Pausing short-term? Talk to us first.
Can I upgrade my bundle later?
Yes — move up to a bigger bundle as your caseload grows and your monthly rate adjusts. Contact us so the license change is handled correctly.
Where can I use it?
These are US-region licenses, verified by exocad via geolocation and account country. Use abroad or via VPN leads to deactivation without refund.
