How to capture with T-Marker: step by step

A T-Marker capture takes a few minutes once the markers are seated. These are the steps from TruAbutment's manual, in order.

Set up the case

1. Download the T-Marker app from the App Store. New users tap "Need to Activate" and pick a plan.
2. Pair the device by entering its 9-digit number in the app.
3. Choose Upper or Lower and enter the case name or number.
4. Select how many markers you will capture, from 3 to 10.

Seat and capture

1. Screw the matching markers onto the MUAs, all facing forward with the codes and dots in clear view.
2. Line up the on-screen outline with the patient's arch.
3. Start the camera. A blue ring above each marker shows progress. Move about 10° to the left, back to center, then about 10° to the right.
4. Keep going until every marker shows DONE at 100%.

Export

1. Pick the export type: HS Cap Small, HS Cap, MUA Cone or Dual Align Scan Body.
2. Tap Export to send the STL by email or AirDrop, or Accept Results to keep the case in the app.

Tips from the manual

• Hold the device at about 45° and 3 to 5 inches (7 to 12 cm) from the markers.
• To trigger autofocus, start about 8 inches away and move in slowly until the markers are recognized, with the small cross centered on a marker.
• Never cover the markers. All dots and codes must be visible.
