Six T-Marker capture mistakes and how to avoid them
Share
Most failed T-Marker captures come from a handful of setup mistakes. The manual shows each of them with a "Do" and "Avoid" example.
1. Markers facing different directions
Position every marker facing forward. Markers turned in different directions are harder for the camera to read.
2. Covered markers
Nothing should sit over a marker: no cheek retractor edge, no gauze, no finger. All dots and the code must be visible or accuracy suffers.
3. Fewer than three markers
The app needs at least three markers. With fewer, the tablet will not recognize them at all.
4. One marker hiding another
If a marker blocks the view of another, capture the blocking marker fully, remove it, then capture the rest. Do not loosen or move the other markers while you do this.
5. Starting too close
Autofocus needs room. Start about 8 inches away and move in slowly to 5 to 3 inches, with the small cross centered on a marker.
6. The wrong replacement number
Every marker has its own code. A lost AT-01 must be replaced with another AT-01, not the next number up.
