How Much Does an exocad Subscription Cost? A Practical Budgeting Guide

Cost planning
Use Ultimate as the full-service benchmark, then account for setup, workstation, training, output, and the time required to make the seat productive.
The advertised monthly rate is the easiest number to compare and the easiest number to misunderstand. Software cost is one line in a working exocad environment. The real budget includes the bundle, onboarding, workstation readiness, training time, and the production system connected to DentalCAD.
Current public Dentcore monthly rates
As of July 2026, Dentcore's public plan page lists DentalCAD Core at $132 per month, Advanced at $163, Implant at $214, and Ultimate at $322. Guide Creator with exoplan is listed separately. These are public customer-facing rates, not a promise that pricing or availability will remain unchanged.
Dentcore's most complete monthly plan
Start with Ultimate.
At $322 per month on the current Dentcore public plan page, Ultimate is the full-service benchmark. It should be evaluated first when a team expects several indications to share one production environment.
$322/mo
See Ultimate monthly
| Plan | Current public monthly rate | Use the price only after |
|---|---|---|
| Ultimate | $322/mo | Broad, multi-indication production |
| DentalCAD Core | $132/mo | Confirming core restorative design is enough |
| Advanced | $163/mo | Confirming articulator and provisional needs |
| Implant | $214/mo | Confirming implant and bar workflows |
Budget line 1: software and onboarding
Monthly access is recurring. Initial onboarding covers a different class of work: account preparation, installation, license activation, and verification. Use the live Dentcore plan page for the current amount and what is included; do not reconstruct the checkout total from an old screenshot or email.
Budget line 2: the workstation
Dental CAD performance depends on the computer. A lab moving from outsourced design may need a workstation, monitor, storage policy, and backup process. Hardware requirements change with software versions and case complexity, so confirm the current exocad requirements instead of buying from an old parts list.
Budget line 3: implementation time
The technician's time has a cost even when training is included. Plan several controlled cases before putting the new seat into normal production. The fastest way to make a subscription feel expensive is to activate it before the operator, libraries, and output path are ready.

Budget line 4: modules and output
Module selection changes what the team can design. Output equipment determines what happens next. A lab may already have the scanner, printer, or mill it wants to use; exocad's open platform is valuable because it supports broad hardware and file choices. Integration still needs to be tested.
Budget line 5: AI usage
Qualifying Flex licenses currently include 30 License Credits per month for supported AI services. Additional Account Credits can be purchased. Most teams should first measure actual use, review which services save time, and only then budget for extra credits.
Better budgeting rule: compare the cost per productive seat, not the monthly license in isolation. A correctly configured plan used every day is less expensive than a cheaper plan that sits idle or sends work back outside.
Use a simple total-cost worksheet
- Monthly software rate and number of seats
- Current onboarding or setup amount
- Workstation or upgrade needs
- Training and controlled-case time
- Libraries and production integration
- Optional credits or services
- Expected use over 12, 24, and 36 months
Price the complete production path
Use current public pricing as the starting point, then confirm the bundle, workstation, and implementation path before activation.

Frequently asked questions
What is the starting monthly price for DentalCAD at Dentcore?
Dentcore's public monthly plan page currently lists DentalCAD Core from $132 per month. Pricing is current as of publication and should be confirmed on the live plan page.
Is the monthly license the only cost to plan for?
No. A realistic budget may also include onboarding, a suitable workstation, training time, libraries, output equipment, materials, and any additional AI credit usage.
Should I choose the lowest monthly price?
Only if the included bundle covers the work your team needs. A cheaper plan that forces outsourcing or an immediate upgrade is not automatically the lower-cost decision.
