Biomic becomes useful when the lab treats finishing as a measured protocol rather than a final artistic rescue. Surface preparation, material thickness, liquid ratio, application order, firing program, and photography should be controlled before color is judged.
Aidite organizes Biomic around two-dimensional color adjustment and three-dimensional effect pastes. That gives the technician different tools for broad chroma correction, fissure and cervical effects, translucency, texture, and gingival characterization.

Separate color correction from surface effect
Begin with the restoration's base value and chroma. Broad corrections belong in thin, controlled applications; concentrated characterization belongs only where anatomy supports it. Loading every effect into one firing makes it difficult to identify which material created the final result.
A practical sequence is to establish the global color first, then add localized effects, then evaluate glaze and texture. Photograph the dry application and the fired result under the same lighting so the technician learns how each mixture changes in the furnace.
Surface preparation decides whether the layer behaves
Dust, oils, polishing residue, and inconsistent surface roughness change wetting and fired appearance. Use the current restoration-material instructions for cleaning and surface preparation, then keep handling consistent after cleaning.
Brush condition matters as well. Reserve fine brushes for narrow effects, keep glaze brushes free from cross-contamination, and replace damaged tips before they force heavy application. The tool is part of the recipe, not a cosmetic accessory.
Record the firing system
A stain name without a firing record is not a repeatable process. Record furnace, program, start temperature, heating rate, final temperature, hold, vacuum behavior, cooling, and tray position as required by the current Aidite instructions.
When a case changes, modify one variable at a time. If color, glaze thickness, and firing temperature all change together, the next technician cannot reproduce the result. Small documented adjustments create a lab-specific Biomic library that is more valuable than an uncontrolled drawer of colors.
Build a reference set before production expands
Create a small set of fired references on the materials used most often. Include routine posterior chroma, incisal translucency, fissure effects, white and amber characterization, glaze levels, and gingival examples where applicable.
