Printed-model articulation
Artex Print&Click changes how a printed model reaches the articulator. Instead of printing a full disposable base and mounting it with plaster, the dental arch is designed for a reusable magnetic base system.
Amann Girrbach describes tool-free insertion, reusable components, open printer compatibility, and model libraries in supported Ceramill M-Build or exocad Model Creator workflows. The software design and physical component set must match.

Design for the base system
Select the correct Print&Click model type in supported design software and confirm model height, position, clearance, and the selected base components. A generic flat model is not automatically compatible.
Run a test pair through design, printing, cleaning, curing, plate insertion, articulation, and removal. Check seating, stability, repeat insertion, occlusion, and damage to the printed interface.
Reusable components shift the control point
Printing less base can reduce material and build time, while reusable plates reduce disposable mounting work. The tradeoff is that the reusable components must be clean, complete, undamaged, and available when the case reaches the bench.
Assign storage, inspection, cleaning, and replacement rules. Keep model plates and distance plates clearly identified so a technician cannot create an unintended height relationship.
Open printer does not mean unvalidated printer
Amann Girrbach describes compatibility with various printers and materials. The lab still needs to confirm dimensional behavior for its printer, resin, orientation, support, wash, and cure process.
Validate the model interface at the actual production settings. If the resin or cure changes, repeat the fit check before assuming the plate relationship remains unchanged.
Where the workflow pays off
Print&Click is strongest where printed models regularly need physical articulation and the lab wants a standardized, plaster-free path. Low model volume or inconsistent software support may reduce the benefit.

Print less, control more
Amann Girrbach designed Print&Click so the printed dental arch attaches to reusable magnetic base components rather than a fully printed disposable model base. The system can reduce printed volume and plaster work, but it moves accuracy control to the printed interface and the condition of the reusable components.
Use the supported model library in Ceramill M-Build or the applicable exocad Model Creator workflow. Confirm software version, model type, base selection, distance plate, model height, and articulator position before production.
Validate fit with the actual print process
Print a representative upper and lower model using the production printer, resin, orientation, supports, wash, dry, and cure settings. Check insertion force, full seating, rotational stability, repeat removal, magnetic retention, articulation, and damage after repeated cycles.
Open printer compatibility means the lab can qualify multiple printer and material combinations; it does not mean every combination is dimensionally equivalent. Repeat the interface check after a resin, profile, cure, printer, or software change.
Manage reusable parts as calibrated tooling
Number or otherwise identify model base plates and distance components, inspect them, clean them according to the current instructions, and store them as complete sets. Bent, contaminated, mixed, or missing components should be removed from production.
Track how often models fail to seat, require adjustment, or produce an occlusal discrepancy. Print&Click is successful when it shortens mounting and reduces material without increasing bench correction.
