Shining 3D Aoralscan Elite (Wired) + IPG

Shining 3D's flagship intraoral scanner, built for full-arch implant work with a rock-solid wired connection.

The Aoralscan Elite is a powder-free, full-color intraoral scanner designed for restorative, orthodontic, and implant dentistry. This is the wired configuration with Intraoral Photogrammetry (IPG) and coded-scanbody support, so you get the same scan quality as the wireless model with the dependability of a direct USB-C connection: no battery to charge, no Wi-Fi to configure. It is the right tool for practices and labs that want one lightweight handpiece to cover everyday crown-and-bridge cases and demanding All-on-X implant workflows where passive fit is non-negotiable.

Why the Aoralscan Elite stands out

  • Coded-scanbody & IPG implant support — after scanning the jaws and coded scanbodies in Intraoral Photogrammetry mode, the software aligns the scanbodies to the arch. Essential for verifying full-arch implant positions on All-on-X cases.
  • Wired USB-C reliability — a direct cable connection means no battery management and no wireless dropouts. Plug the scanner into the computer's Type-C port, launch the software, and scan.
  • Powder-free full-color scanning — captures 2D/3D color images of teeth, gingiva, and oral mucosa with no spray required, at a scanning speed of up to 20 frames per second.
  • Three interchangeable tip sizes — Big (19 × 14 mm field), Standard (16 × 12 mm), and Mini (12 × 9 mm) for narrow areas and posterior scanning. Each tip is pluggable and swaps in seconds.
  • Autoclavable tips — every scanner tip can be high-temperature steam sterilized up to 100 times, supporting strict chairside infection control.
  • Heated, anti-fog lens — the tip's heating element automatically warms the lens to resist fogging, so scans stay clear from the first frame.
  • Deep-margin capture — a 22 mm scanning depth (-2 mm to 20 mm from the tip window) reaches subgingival margins that shallower scanners miss.
  • Open export & smart tools — outputs open STL, OBJ, and PLY files, with built-in tooth-preparation depth monitoring, undercut and bite detection, orthodontic simulation, and AccuDesign model generation for 3D printing.

Elite Wired vs. Elite Wireless

Both configurations share identical scan quality and IPG capability. Choose wired for single-operatory setups where the computer stays close to the chair and you want one less thing to charge. Choose wireless when you need to move freely between treatment rooms. The wired version is typically the more affordable of the two.
